City to consider hotel, dining tax hike
As for Biloxi it is a coastal town and yes those will always get more business than an inner city town that is just the lay of the land on that. Too with all the crime that is going on and people affraid to stay in their own homes this is not exactly a good time to be raising taxes for such as this. Maybe they should refrain until the economy improves and these criminals are caught. One of the many reasons I like like shopping in Natchez is because the taxes are reasonable unlike Alexandria, Monroe and Baton Rouge etc which is 9%-9.75% people have to look for the best bargain these days. .
